The Child Protection Teams are a dedicated group committed to supporting children and families by collaborating closely with Indigenous and other cultural communities. As a member of this team youll work alongside other professionals in the rural community all focused on making a positive impact through respectful and culturally sensitive practices. The Role
As a Travelling Child Protection Worker you will assess and respond to concerns of child abuse and neglect by interviewing families developing safety plans and determining if children need protection. Your work directly impacts the well-being of vulnerable children and youth helping to strengthen families and promote healthy development. The Travelling Child Protection Worker offers a unique opportunity to work in Northern BC while living in your current community. Youll travel and work for 10 days (Monday to Friday) from your assigned community office followed by 10 days (Monday to Friday) working from home or your headquarters/office location.
