About the role
As Test Engineering Chapter Lead you will lead the uplift of quality engineering capability across the Test Engineering Chapter. You will guide test engineers embed modern testing frameworks and support delivery teams to improve speed confidence and outcomes. This role blends people leadership with hands-on influence across tooling standards and ways of working.
What youll do
- Lead a chapter of test engineering professionals providing clear direction coaching and performance support to build strong capability and engagement.
- Define implement and continuously improve testing frameworks tools and standards that support agile and scalable delivery.
- Support delivery excellence by guiding test scoping resourcing and execution and acting as an escalation point for complex delivery risks.
- Partner closely with delivery change and engineering chapters to integrate testing seamlessly into end-to-end ways of working.
- Identify opportunities to apply automation AI and prompt engineering to improve test coverage efficiency and asset quality.
- Build a collaborative community of practice that promotes learning innovation and consistent quality outcomes.
What youll bring
- 10 years technology experience with 5 years leading people and teams.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience with a strong track record of developing and supporting high-performing teams.
- Deep expertise in test management and execution including practical application across complex delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of test automation and modern quality engineering practices within agile delivery models.
- Experience working in regulated environments ideally within financial services or insurance.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships across technology delivery risk and business teams.
