About You:

The Assessment Quality Control Officer plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity compliance and quality of student assessments across Australian Learning Group (ALG).

Reporting to the Academic Manager this position is responsible for conducting detailed quality checks on assessments to ensure alignment with training package requirements regulatory standards and internal policies. The role supports continuous improvement in academic delivery and safeguards the validity and reliability of assessment outcomes.

This is a full-time remote offshore position.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment Quality Assurance

  • Conduct comprehensive quality checks on student assessments to ensure compliance with training package requirements approved assessment tools and organisational policies
  • Review assessment outcomes (Satisfactory / Not Yet Satisfactory) and recommend or apply corrections where required
  • Identify missing incomplete or non-compliant assessment evidence (e.g. observation checklists feedback forms logbooks attendance records)
  • Ensure assessors provide clear appropriate and sufficient feedback to support assessment decisions
  • Escalate issues such as plagiarism incorrect assessment tools or repeated non-compliance in accordance with internal procedures

Stakeholder Liaison and Support

  • Liaise with trainers assessors and internal teams regarding rectifications resubmissions and clarification of assessment outcomes
  • Provide guidance to staff on assessment quality standards and best practices
  • Support assessors in maintaining compliance with competency-based assessment principles

Compliance and Continuous Improvement

  • Support audit preparation compliance checks and quality assurance activities
  • Document quality check findings and maintain accurate records in systems such as Canvas
  • Assist in reviewing and improving assessment tools and quality assurance processes
  • Identify trends risks or recurring issues and recommend process improvements

Education Experience and Skills

  • A relevant undergraduate qualification (e.g. in Business Marketing Education or International Relations) is preferred. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • 1 - 2 years Experience in quality assurance academic administration or assessment review
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assessments and deadlines efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Experience working within a regulated education environment
