Job Summary
Mittera is looking for a Product Engineer to join our growing team! As a Product Engineer in our collectible card manufacturing division you will be responsible for engineering optimizing and documenting all production processes from initial printing through final pack-out. This key role bridges technical production knowledge with business operations working directly with the estimating team to establish accurate pricing and templates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Engineer comprehensive production workflows for collectible card manufacturing ensuring quality efficiency and scalability
- Document all process specifications in clear detailed technical documentation
- Develop and maintain printing specifications including color management registration and quality control parameters
- Design and optimize card finishing processes including cutting sorting and specialty treatments
- Create detailed pack-out specifications for various product configurations
- Collaborate with the estimating department to develop accurate pricing models and templates
- Analyze production data to identify improvements and cost reduction opportunities
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
- Stay current with industry innovations and implement process improvements
Required Skills and Abilities
- History of engineering manufacturing or related field
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering preferably in printing or paper products
- Strong understanding of commercial printing processes and finishing operations
- Experience with process documentation and specification development
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies and measurement systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities both written and verbal
- Experience with production estimating and costing preferred
- Familiarity with collectible card production a plus
