The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Leader Information and Communication Technology this role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of IT operations and helpdesk services maintaining and developing Councils internal hosted and virtualised IT infrastructure and managing relationships with outsources IT partners. You will provide technical guidance and support to users at all levels oversee ICT projects implement cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with governance data security and legislative requirements. Your leadership will also extend to coaching and supervising the IT Services team to achieve high performance and a positive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or have extensive contemporary experience in a similar role. You will have strong experience managing enterprise ICT infrastructure and systems including identity and access management cloud platforms endpoint and device management virtualisation networking telecommunications database environments and backup and disaster recovery technologies. Experience with technologies similar to those used by Council including Microsoft-based environments enterprise networking modern virtualisation platforms and contemporary backup solutions will be highly regarded. Experience working with Local Government systems such as ReadyTech Civica or TechnologyOne or with comparable enterprise platforms will be viewed favourably. A current Class C Driver Licence is essential.

To thrive in this role you will need highly developed problem-solving and interpersonal skills and the ability to consult negotiate and collaborate effectively across teams. You should be able to prioritise and manage multiple projects under pressure demonstrating commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and digital solutions that support Councils strategic objectives.

Annual salary of $98178 to $111905 (plus super).
