Responsible for performing and directing distribution function for Fred Hutch pharmacies.
This role will primarily work in the Pharmacy Call Center providing customer service related to prescription orders handling inquiries and ensuring patient satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
This is a full time role working Monday thru Friday at our South Lake Union Campus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare oncology-related medications and compounded pharmaceutical preparations which include labeling and maintenance of patient records.
- Direct pharmacy technicians technicians in training interns and assistants in all areas of technical responsibilities.
- Ensure that controlled substances are properly stored dispensed recorded and inventoried.
- Monitor oncology-related medication therapy for rational use.
- Participate in drug utilization review data collection and assessment.
- Communicate with providers and patients regarding medications that have been prescribed.
- Know and follow all Pharmacy Department and Fred Hutch policies and procedures as well as all applicable state and federal laws.
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- One year of experience in pharmacy practice or completion of an American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists accredited residency training program
- State of Washington Pharmacist license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams
Preferred:
- Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Experience with Epic Willow and Beacon Oncology Applications
- Experience in oncology pharmacy practice
Pre Employment Drug Screening:
As a condition of employment Fred Hutch conducts pre-employment drug testing for this pharmacy role. All offers of employment in the pharmacy department are conditional on the applicant successfully completing and passing a drug test in accordance with the Fred Hutch policy.
The annual base salary range for this position is from $149365.00 to $248913.00 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
This is a full time role working Monday thru Friday at our South Lake Union Campus.
This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship at this time.
