Production Planning Senior Executive Manager

Our client is a well-established precision engineering company specializing in high-quality machinery parts for various industries looking for Senior Production Planner / Manager to join their team based at Subang Jaya.

Job Summary

The Planner will be responsible for the overall production planning and coordination across all machining and metal processing departments. This role requires deep understanding of precision manufacturing processes machine capabilities manpower capacity and ERP system utilization to ensure optimal production flow on-time delivery and maximum efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily weekly and monthly production schedules based on customer orders priorities and capacity.
• Balance workloads across CNC EDM Grinding Milling Turning Tool making QC and Assembly departments.
• Anticipate bottlenecks and proactively adjust schedules to maintain delivery commitments.
• Understand each metal processing machines capability accuracy and cycle time.
• Assign jobs according to the most suitable machine and process route.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering to optimize setups and minimize downtime.
• Evaluate each operators skill level and assign tasks accordingly.
• Monitor productivity and recommend training or reallocation when needed.
• Support shift and overtime planning to meet urgent delivery needs.
• Create update and monitor work orders in the ERP system.
• Track real-time job status material availability and machine utilization.
• Generate reports for management on planning accuracy lead time and output.
• Liaise with Sales Purchasing Engineering and Quality to align job priorities.
• Ensure clear communication of changes delays or special requirements.
• Participate in daily production meetings and continuous improvement projects.
• Identify opportunities to shorten lead times and improve resource efficiency.
• Support process standardization and best practice implementation across planning.

Job Requirements

• At least a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning within precision machining or metal processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC EDM Grinding and other precision machining processes.
• Experienced with ERP systems (e.g. Monitoring ERP or similar).
• Excellent coordination analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with multiple teams.
• Strong sense of responsibility urgency and commitment to on-time delivery.
• Experience in high-mix low-volume production environment (semiconductor tooling preferred).
• Familiar with ISO and cleanroom manufacturing environments.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and production routings.
