Requirements:
Candidate will have the following: Minimum 6 years of experience handling business and financial transactions within the healthcare industry ; Experience within a large law firm setting (experience will be current or very recent) ; Keen knowledge of complex healthcare regulations like HIPAA and anti-kickback laws ; Experience negotiating contracts for everything from physician practices to technology companies.
Stellar academic credentials (Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades desired); Strong research verbal & written communication skills and analytic skills required ; DC Bar.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Representing a diverse clientele including hospitals health systems physician groups and long-term care facilities as well as pharmaceutical companies medical device -manufacturers and health information technology firms.
- Guiding clients through the purchase or sale of healthcare entities like hospitals physician practices and software companies.
- Assisting with loans private equity investments and other capital markets transactions in the healthcare sector.
- Conducting thorough legal reviews of a target companys operations finances and legal standing before a transaction is finalized.
- Structuring and drafting agreements for strategic partnerships between healthcare organizations.
- Negotiating and drafting a wide range of agreements including physician employment contracts vendor agreements and managed care contracts.
- Ensuring transactions comply with healthcare-specific laws and regulations which can include HIPAA anti-kickback statutes and Stark Law.
- Providing general advice on corporate governance risk assessment and succession planning for healthcare clients.
