Property Accountant
Location: Fall River MA
Schedule: Full-Time Onsite (5 days per week)

A well-established and growing real estate development and property management organization in Southeastern Massachusetts is seeking a Property Accountant to join its accounting team.
The company manages a diverse portfolio of retail commercial residential and hospitality properties and offers a stable team-oriented environment with strong long-term growth potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in full-cycle property accounting across a dynamic portfolio while advancing their career in real estate finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for approximately 10 mixed-use retail and office properties
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of mortgages property taxes insurance and utilities
- Prepare CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and billings
- Process water billings and percentage rent calculations
- Support additional accounting initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 13 years of accounting experience required (property accounting experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger fundamentals (accruals prepaids reconciliations)
- Experience with M3 Sage or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
