Essential Responsibilities:

• Being the Finance Leader for the P&L the role includes management of Commercial finance DAW and Controllership DAW for the region.
• Taking necessary actions while partnering with region leadership to enable India P&L to achieve financial targets
• Manages teams and responsible to develop expertise within function. Growing reputation within the organization. Lead individuals and team members who are experts in their discipline providing professional or thought leadership.
• Partners with regional GM to develop and execute against strategic priorities including but not limited to commercial topline orders growth developing local supply chain capability to support global PC regions expanding EDC capabilities to provide global engineering and FSE support to other PC regions
• Influence policy and ensure delivery within own function linking with other functions of the organization.
• Responsible to lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements risk and/or complexity.
• Present business solutions to leaders in functional area. Communicate complex messages and negotiate mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view.
• Influence peers to take action and negotiate with external partners vendors or customers.
• Has major influence on P&L business segment and has ownership/influence over budgets.
• The role is guided by functional policy. The role influences policy/operating guidelines about important subjects.

Leadership for Commercial Finance Distinct Area of Work (DAW) :

Lead the development of innovative solutions to deliver Customer outcomes and drive growth while managing company risk/reward Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Ensures governance of R process while ensuring the right approvals & oversight of cash terms margin and T&Cs mitigation working in tandem with regional GM Commercial team and legal

Responsible for driving commercial finance operating rhythms by providing centralized finance reporting capabilities commercial productivity metrics commercial forecasting and contribute to the overall business growth. Lead commercial financial planning budgeting forecasting and analysis while supporting regional sales / commercial teams.

Leadership for Controllership Distinct Area of Work (DAW) :

Responsible for driving compliance with all GE accounting policies and ensuring adherence to all financial and operational internal controls. Local leader for both the commercial controllership of regional deal-making and the monthly operational closing & reporting processes. Leadership and responsibility for the timely filing of all statutory financial & tax reports. Manager of the local execution of various global projects & process transformations with the ability to identify additional efficiencies and synergies. Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products processes or services. Stays informed of industry tax and regulatory trends that may impact the business.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Professional qualification in Finance Management. Experience in Finance & Controllership Management. Knowledge level comparable to a Masters degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience). CA/ICWAI professionally qualified.
• Specific experience in controllership management at a large corporation with responsibility for both US GAAP accounting and statutory filings. (Experience in an SAP environment preferred)
• 15 years experience working in Finance in large MNC handling a team of min 5 or more finance professionals.
• Prior P&L work experience is essential preferably within GE businesses.
• Willingness to work on Hybrid model.
