About the role
A new opportunity has come available for an experienced Personal Care Assistant (cleaning included) to join our Home Care team in Darwin Northern Territory. This role is being recruited on an ad hoc casual arrangement. Working as a casual will mean that you do not have a fixed roster or guarantee of shifts You will be contacted when shifts are available to source your availability and to confirm or decline.
This role attracts a salary of $33.96 - $36.59 / hour 25% casual loading (pending skills and experience) and ability to pick up additional shifts ad hoc will be available.
This role will see you travelling to peoples homes and providing in-home cleaning duties attending to appointments and general care duties in accordance with their approved care plan.
This role will also include high-clean duties which include more in-depth cleaning such as windows ceiling fans etc.
As the ideal candidate you will be comfortable travelling to our consumers homes to primarily deliver cleaning services and will have a reliable and fully insured vehicle. You must be comfortable to complete allocated cleaning tasks as part of this role.
As the successful candidate you will be kind and compassionate in your approach to our consumers and be understanding and supportive of their needs whilst able to interpret and understand their care-plans and stick to the delegated services.
Please note: Visa or Immigration sponsorship is not available with this role.

Skills & experience:
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in Cleaning domestic or commercial.
- Experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting.
- Currently holds or willing to obtain (at own cost) a Food Handlers Certificate to the 3.2.2A standard (online course).
- Comfortable to work where delegated tasks are primarily cleaning over delivering of care.
- NT Drivers license and access to a reliable and fully comprehensive insured vehicle.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role.
- Comfortable using mobile phone apps and working remotely.
