Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology Test & Evaluation Program Mission Support Engineering & Analysis and Training.
Responsibilities
- Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems.
- Design develop document test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for onboard ship and submarine research.
- Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning design development and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software at customer site in West Bethesda MD.
- Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results.
- Some travel (< 5%) required to customer test sites for software system installation checkout operation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance desired or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- B.S. degree in Engineering Science Computer Science Applied Math or closely related field.
- Minimum of 3years of demonstrated experience developing LabVIEW software.
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $77600.00/Yr. - USD $129600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
