Job Summary
Quality Engineer
Location: Derby
Position: Permanent
Salary: Circa 35000 per annum
EMBS Engineering is currently working in partnership with a well-established precision engineering company that offers Fabrication & Machining solutions to lucrative high-profile industry sectors supporting some of the worlds most recognised OEMs.
Situated on the outskirts of Derby our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.
The successful individual will be joining a talented team of engineers supporting in the development and growth of the business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the delivery of quality cost and delivery standards
- Maintaining and reporting against KPIs to identify problems and implement solutions
- Support the delivery of NPI projects (New Product Implementations)
- Reviewing NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
- Support internal 3rd party and customer system and/or process audits
- Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
What experience do you need
- Strong Quality Engineering experience specifically within Aerospace with NADCAP experience is essential.
- Experience within NDT and/or Heat treatment would be advantageous
- Understanding of basic core quality tools - PPAP APQP FMEA MSA
- Knowledge and problem solving including root cause corrective action non-conformance management and continuous improvement
- Experience in maintaining improving and developing QMS
- Experience in auditing preferred
