Job Summary

Shift Leader

The purpose of our Shift Leader is to raise the bar for hospitality and excellence in our community by leading coaching and delegating the Team Members that report to them. The Shift Leader role exists to ensure that the day-to-day operations are contributing to the overall vision of the restaurant.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts that fulfill the restaurants vision by ensuring that Team Members are executing their job to Chick-fil-A Standards.
  • Bring a dynamic and motivating presence to the restaurant that inspires Team Members to emulate the core values of the restaurant.
  • Contribute your own unique and valuable insight to help the team at Chick-fil-A River Landing achieve our vision of raising the bar for hospitality and excellence in our community.
  • Conduct consistent and impactful coaching including:
  • Completing three coaching conversations on a weekly basis and logging them.
  • Utilizing the Know Notice Do coaching framework:
  • Know:Is this in alignment with Pathway and River Landing systems (teaching knowledge).
  • Notice:What do you see that is outside of your explicit job responsibilities (building awareness).
  • Do:What trade-offs do you need to make based on what you noticed (teaching skill or action).
  • Conduct huddles with your captains to plan for your day fostering intentional and proactive leadership.
  • Execute your leadership style through the Heart Mind Hands lens:
  • Heart:Lead yourself.
  • Mind:Lead others.
  • Hands:Influence outcomes.
  • Manage labor effectively.
  • Facilitate daily cleaning tasks.
  • Run shifts effectively.
  • Hold the team to the standard of River Landings Core Values.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks and ensure relevant checklists are completed timely and correctly during your shifts.
  • Attend and contribute at Shift Leader meetings.
  • Establish accountability with Team Members.
  • Maintain a fun work environment.
  • Communicate expectations to the team ranging from Team Members to Directors.
  • Maintain vision alignment with the Operator and leadership team.
  • Organize the team with excellent follow-through.
  • Manage money and cashier tills.
  • Understand and utilize advanced technological systems and software on shift to ensure an adequate flow of operations.
  • Demonstrate priority management and proper delegation of tasks.
  • Conduct food quality assessments.


Qualifications

  • Must have or be willing to obtain ServeSafe certification.
  • Must complete our Heart Mind and Hands Modules with a passing score.
  • Must complete our Common Language Modules with a passing score.
  • Available to work 10-13 hour shifts ranging from 11am to 2am.

  • Consistent and impactful coaching leading to improved overall team performance.
  • Positive and negative customer comments.
  • Improvement in scores (CEM RQA ROE Labor Food Cost).
  • Task completion with daily operations completed efficiently.
  • Director evaluation of Shift Leaders.
  • Accountability among Shift Leaders.
  • Positive Team Member feedback.
  • Completion of action items following a Shift Leader meeting.
  • Completion of coaching conversations with Team Members each week.
