Manager, Construction Management, Industrial Growth and Development

Job Summary
As the WWRGD Construction Manager you will work with broad set of stakeholders including Real Estate Operations Design Launch Startup Delivery Experience Legal and Retail to take the industrial facility design from concept through the hand off to Operations. This position requires a firm understanding of engineering planning program management contract administration and operations.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage 6-8 Construction Managers.
- Coordinate with designers building teams and cost estimators to establish proper project budget scope and schedule.
- Assist in obtaining the information and decisions needed from Amazon which are required to complete the construction drawings.
- Act as a facilitator of information required for by internal Amazon functional teams (IT Safety LP Food Safety Operations).
- Perform duties as the primary Amazon representative on permitting required with authorities having jurisdiction.
- Act as principle schedule auditor on behalf of Amazon monitor site production determine target milestones track and communicate progress.
- Develop capital appropriation requests and manage fiduciary responsibility for approved budgets.
- Perform site visits on a periodic basis to confirm schedule progress attend contractor meetings and act as the single point of contact for Amazon for the general contractor partners.
- Review the contractors buyout subcontracting material purchase schedule and long lead orders.
- Coordinate with the Amazon launch/startup teams regarding schedule and phased area turnover to insure coordination with all stakeholder functions.
- Audit contractors punch list completion progress and manage on behalf of Amazon.
- Direct the contractor through the document turnover and close out process.
- Coordinate with Amazon property management to transition the building facilities to their care.
- Lead continuous improvement and lessons learned efforts to improve standards reduce costs and expedite timelines for construction programs.
- Role includes travel throughout North America up to 40% of the time.
- 5 years of team management experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Science/Management Architecture OR 10 years of construction experience.
- 5 years of experience in all aspects of the commercial TI design and construction process
- 5 years of experience in management of construction quality systems
- 5 years of experience with ground-up construction/greenfield including civil/sitework CSA and MEPR.
- 6 years of multi-million dollar contract negotiation experience
- Experience in process design and documentation
- 6 years of management experience in building and developing retail teams of 10 or more members or 6 years of grocery leadership experience
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities or experience in Linux and Networking protocols
- Experience with OSHA regulations
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Masters degree or MS degree

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
