Description of Work
The primary purpose of this position as required by the Older Americans Act is to protect and secure the rights benefits and autonomy of older individuals. The Legal Assistant Developer will implement the requirements of the Older Americans Act as it relates to the provision of legal services created to safeguard the rights and protections of older adults. The individual will also be responsible for the review and oversight of rules governing aging programs and services within the Divisions scope of work and authority.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $55221 - $96639
Recruitment Range: $55221 - 73101

Minimum Education and Experience
Some state job postings say you can qualify by an equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a BA/BS in Political Science Human Services Public Administration or Communications with three years of work experience in one of the above or related fields. Management
prefers candidates with an MA/MS in Public Administration Human Services Political Science or a related field of study with two years of work experience. Individuals with training or background as a Paralegal Law Clerk Legislative Assistant or experience in governmental policy making or oversight at the
local state or federal level are encouraged to apply.
