The Role

• Curriculum Delivery: Teach RE across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to teach A-Level Philosophy and Ethics for the right candidate.

• Diverse Perspectives: Deliver a broad curriculum covering the six major world religions alongside secular worldviews and ethical frameworks.

• Critical Thinking: Encourage students to evaluate different truth-claims and develop their own reasoned arguments on topics such as medical ethics social justice and the existence of God.

• Departmental Collaboration: Work with a team of Humanities specialists to create innovative resources that reflect the multicultural landscape of East London.

The Candidate

• Subject Specialist: A degree in Religious Studies Theology Philosophy or a related field along with QTS.

• Inclusive Approach: The ability to teach with sensitivity and respect ensuring all students feel their perspectives are valued.

• Academic Rigour: A track record of helping students achieve strong results in GCSE Religious Studies.
