Job Summary

Job Title: Program or Project Leader Engineer III

Location: Newton NC/100% Onsite

Duration: 10 Months

Job Type: Contract

Note: Immigration Status: Must be eligible to work in the US for a minimum of 18 months. Local candidates are preferred but not required. Interview Process: Interviews will be held via Teams with 2 or 3 engineering leaders. For local candidates selected an on-site interview may be requested before finalizing decision. Travel Requirements: Position will be based in Trivium NC and travel to other local plants possible. Work Schedule: Typical 40 hours per week. May require working weekends/holidays or longer days to support project schedule. Prior experience in fiber optic or cable manufacturing
Advanced process optimization and throughput improvement experience

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Lead cross-functional teams in equipment start-up process qualification and production line industrialization
Develop and execute project timelines to meet customer and business requirements
Oversee data collection experimentation and adjustment of equipment parameters
Drive process improvements including variability reduction defect reduction and throughput optimization
Facilitate root cause problem solving and implementation of corrective actions
Develop and maintain standard work documentation (SOPs SOS Job Aids Training Materials) and ensure safety compliance

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Chemical Mechanical Materials or Industrial Engineering
7 years of experience as a project manager or team leader for process engineering teams in a manufacturing plant
Demonstrated success leading and completing manufacturing projects
Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills based on data
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and plant leadership
