ABOUT HOSPITAL: Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation a JCAHO accredited health center provides services to a 4400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The hospital was constructed in 1975 with a bed capacity of 73. Services provided to the community include comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services dental and ophthalmology services orthopedics OB/GYN oral surgery eye surgery and urological procedures. Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is located in Northwestern Arizona on the land known as the Colorado Plateau. This semi-desert landscape varies in elevation from 4400 in the Little Colorado River Valley to nearly 7000 feet at Preston Mesa. The nursing staff includes registered nurses licensed practical nurses nursing assistants community health nurses nurse practitioners nurse midwives CRNA and community health medics. JOB DESCRIPTION: This position provides specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical services on an inpatient and outpatient basis in the areas of Internal Medicine Family Practice Pediatrics General and Orthopedic Surgery Anesthesiology Radiology Urology Optometry/Ophthalmology Psychiatry Ear/Nose/Throat (ENT). The purpose of this position is to serve as the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and is responsible for the technical operation of Computerized Axial Tomography equipment. EXPERIENCE: Must have successfully completed training in the radiology field (CT and X-Ray) and have at least 1 year experience in CT and 2 years experience in X-Ray. Must have expertise to operate teleradiology and fax equipment EQUIPMENT: GE scanners; we have an Optima and a Revolution in CT. Our x-ray equipment is also GE. Must have expertise to operate teleradiology and fax equipment. EDUCATION: Must have successfully completed radiology training from an AMA approved school of Radiology LICENSE: Must possess a current valid Arizona State License in Radiology (R) Must possess a current ARRT Certification in Radiology with advanced qualifications in CT Scan (RT)(CT) o Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
