Job Summary

Position: Class B CDL Driver

Work Location: Linden NJ 07036

Pay rate: $240/day

Duration: 3 Months

Shift: 8 - 10 hours per day though hours may vary based on route and volume some days may be shorter or longer depending on operational needs

Job Description:

Safely operate a Class B commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations federal state and local traffic laws
Deliver food products from the warehouse to customer store locations
Load and unload products at the warehouse and at delivery sites
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as required by DOT standards
local delivery routes from New Jersey into New York
Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations
Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
Work independently; a helper may be assigned on some routes

Qualifications:

Valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one prior to start
Clean driving record in accordance with DOT FMCSA company and insurance requirements
Ability to meet all DOT physical safety and compliance standards
Strong customer service and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely load and unload products throughout the workday
Ability to lift carry push and pull as required for deliveries
Ability to stand walk bend and climb in and out of the vehicle
Must comply with all applicable hours-of-service rules
