Power BI Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale analytics and reporting solutions for a direct engagement with the World Bank. The role requires deep expertise in Power BI Azure analytics services Databricks Azure Data Lake and Medallion Architecture to support large-scale mission-critical data platforms.

This is a senior hands-on architecture role requiring strong leadership technical depth and the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders in a hybrid onsite model.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and lead enterprise Power BI reporting and analytics solutions
• Design and implement end-to-end Azure-based data and analytics architecture
• Build and govern semantic models datasets and enterprise dashboards in Power BI
• Design and optimize Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold layers) using Azure Data Lake and Databricks
• Integrate Power BI with Azure Synapse Databricks and Data Lake for scalable analytics
• Define data modeling standards performance optimization strategies and security frameworks
• Implement row-level security (RLS) data governance and compliance best practices
• Collaborate with data engineers cloud architects and business stakeholders
• Lead Power BI performance tuning capacity planning and workspace governance
• Establish best practices for version control deployment pipelines and CI/CD for BI assets
• Support executive-level reporting and advanced analytics initiatives

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• 15 years of overall IT experience
• Strong hands-on experience as a Power BI Architect
• Deep expertise in:
  • Power BI (DAX Power Query semantic modeling)
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2)
  • Medallion Architecture
• Strong experience designing enterprise data models and BI architectures
• Hands-on experience integrating Power BI with cloud-based data platforms
• Strong understanding of data governance security and performance optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large-scale global organizations or public sector clients
• Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics
• Experience with DevOps / CI-CD for BI solutions
