Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Automotive Technician located in Fair Lawn NJ. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure their optimal performance and safety. Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues performing general maintenance and inspections using diagnostic tools and delivering high-quality repairs. Technicians will also collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive mechanical systems including engines brakes suspensions and transmissions
- Experience with electrical systems diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of tire installation repair techniques and alignment services
- Familiarity with using both manual and computerized diagnostic tools
- Strong attention to detail problem-solving skills and ability to follow safety protocols
- Effective communication skills to discuss repair needs with team members and customers
- ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not required
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications are a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hands-on environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
