We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager Methods Credits & Incentives (R&D) to join a growing tax practice specializing in R&D tax credits accounting methods and incentives. This role involves managing complex client engagements advising on federal and state R&D credit matters and leading project teams in a fast-paced client-facing environment.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of R&D tax regulations strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple engagements while supporting firm leadership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead and manage R&D tax credit engagements including planning execution and delivery

Apply federal and select state R&D credit rules regulations and relevant court cases

Manage and review amended tax returns related to R&D credits and accounting method changes

Oversee project timelines staffing budgets and deliverables across multiple engagements

Support leadership initiatives and contribute to practice growth

Review tax return mechanics and ensure accurate integration of credits and adjustments

Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders

Mentor and support junior team members

Active CPA or JD with active attorney license (EA not acceptable)

6 10 years of experience in R&D tax credits

Open to candidates with Fixed Asset or Accounting Methods experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or tax within public accounting or consulting

Strong understanding of federal and select state R&D regulations and relevant case law

Experience amending tax returns

Prior project management experience

Ability to manage time multiple engagements and deadlines effectively

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Masters or Ph.D. in one of the following fields:
