Job: Project Civil Engineer
Location: Englewood CO
Summary :- Based in our Denver (Englewood) Colorado office youll contribute to impactful mining projects around the world focusing on the design and management of tailings dams heap leach facilities and associated civil related designs. This role offers exciting opportunities for travel client interaction and hands-on experience in the dynamic mining sector. The successful candidate will be integral member of a team working on large civil earthwork projects assisting in developing conceptual designs creating construction related documents and assisting in the closure and reclamation planning.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer you will be working as part of a team under a senior engineer to develop civil designs ranging from a feasibility study level effort issued for construction and record of construction documents. The daily tasks may include:
- Developing of Site Layouts including grading plans stormwater and solution management and infrastructure designs such as pipelines and roadways.
- Developing Drawings and Figures using AutoCAD Civil3D
- Developing Construction Quantities and Cost Estimates
- Development of Technical Specifications
- Performing Technical Analysis including Hydraulic Pipe Sizing Geotechnical Analysis
- Assist in responding to fieldclient RFIs
- Assisting in the field during construction
- Coordination between different Engineering Disciplines
- Assisting in Technical Writing for Report Calculation Briefs and Memorandums
- Mentoring younger staff.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS or Masters Civil Engineering or similar engineering degrees
- Professional Experience: 4 years working as a designer or in the field on earthwork construction related projects including mining hydrological and land development.
- Required Registrations / Professional Development: P.E. registration or path to registration clearly defined.
- Computer Software: MS Office Suite. Autodesk Civil 3D HEC-HMS FlowMaster and CulvertMaster
- Technical Writing: Experience writing technical reports memorandums and proposals.
- Travel: Must have the ability to travel in the U.S. and internationally to support field programs.
