Job Summary

Role: Power BI Developer
Location: Dallas TX
Duration: Contract

As a Senior Power BI Developer you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will lead the design development and optimization of enterprise-grade analytics solutions and dashboards. You will be expected to work independently to translate complex business requirements into scalable user-friendly BI solutions fostering a culture of self-service analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Architecture: Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex Power BI dashboards reports and data models (star/snowflake schemas).
Advanced DAX & Power Query: Author complex Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and M code to build advanced calculated measures and optimize data transformation processes.
Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources including cloud and on-premise data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake).
Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports optimizing data queries for faster rendering.
Governance & Security: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) workspaces and data privacy standards in accordance with data governance policies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to gather refine and translate business needs into technical specifications.
Automation: Utilize Power Automate or Python to automate reporting workflows and improve efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 5-8 years of professional experience in business intelligence data analytics and reporting specifically with Microsoft Power BI.
Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M).
- Advanced SQL proficiency (T-SQL Stored Procedures query optimization).
- Data Modeling: Strong experience in dimensional modeling and building scalable data models (star/snowflake schemas).
- Power BI Service: Experience managing workspaces app workspaces and data gateways.
