Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Housing: Housing provided by facility

Pay rate : $25/hr

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant is an integral member of Sheridan Memorial Health Associations healthcare delivery team dedicated to providing high-quality primary care in an ambulatory clinic setting. This role supports patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on prevention health maintenance and overall wellness.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct support to physicians (M.D.) Family Nurse Practitioners (F.N.P.) Physician Assistants (P.A.) Registered Nurses (R.N.) Licensed Practical Nurses (L.P.N.) and other clinical staff.
Prepare patients for examinations including taking vital signs recording medical histories and documenting patient information accurately.
Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
Perform basic clinical tasks such as injections EKGs specimen collection and point-of-care testing as permitted by scope of practice.
Maintain and stock exam rooms; ensure cleanliness and compliance with infection control standards.
Facilitate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations.
Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all established policies procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA/RMA) or equivalent clinical experience.
Current BLS certification
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented fast-paced ambulatory care environment.
