Description:

Will review Local and Non-Local (if selected candidates will relocate at their own expense)

Primary Purpose of the Role
Oversee daily installation activities verify work against prints track schedule progress and ensure timely completion.
Manage punch lists change orders and final documentation as the project nears completion.
Ensure installation readiness oversee contractor execution and support line startup.

Summary:
Involves the day-to-day oversight of engineering projects including soliciting quotations overseeing installation vendors managing production line installation equipment selection tracking drawing redline revisions and general troubleshooting with the installation process.

Daily Responsibilities
On the floor full-time at the installation site (boots on the ground).
Answer contractor questions troubleshooting issues and ensure work is aligned to drawings.
Track schedule progress maintain updates and escalate concerns to PM.
Manage:
o Change orders
o Installation documentation updates
o Punch list closeout
Identify & order equipment needed prior to installation.

Requirements:

Requires complete understanding and application of standard engineering or scientific theories concepts principles and techniques.
General knowledge of other related disciplines.
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Solutions are imaginative thorough and practicable and consistent with organization objectives. Works under minimal direction.
Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions.
Work is reviewed generally upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Frequent inter organizational and/or external contacts.
Represents the organization.
Strong working relationships outside of immediate work group.
Engineering technicians with deep hands-on mechanical installation experience

Top 3 Required Skills:

1. Mechanical installation oversight & contractor management
Experience managing or working with third-party installation vendors.
Ability to identify incorrect installation resolve issues and remove roadblocks.

2. Blueprint/line drawing reading
Must read interpret and compare installation activities to mechanical/electrical prints.

3. Project coordination & progress tracking
Track installation schedules maintain timelines and manage punch lists.
Strong organizational skills using Excel and Word.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
CAD familiarity (ability to perform basic updates or sketches).
Experience in:
o Production equipment installation
o Automation equipment installation
o Industrial HVAC / systems installation
o Mechanical trade or site installation leadership
1 year of direct or indirect leadership experience.
Initiative in resolving mechanical installation issues (e.g. sourcing missing parts).
Familiarity with MS Project (not required).

Education:

BS Preferred Minimum Experience: 5 Years.
More than 5 years required if no bachelors degree.
Leadership experience: 1 year (indirect or direct)

Education Requirements
Bachelors degree preferred (Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related technical degree).
Associates degree is acceptable with significantly more experience.
Open to a wide range of technical degrees as long as they have relevant installation/project experience.
