We are seeking a passionate and experienced Technical Product Owner to join our John Hancock team at MBPS and lead the development and optimization of our Document Management Platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of customer-centric product this role you will be responsible for communicating effectively with business stakeholders gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable technical stories for the development team. As the Technical Product Owner you will ensure that the squad adheres to agile practices including conducting regular ceremonies such as sprint planning reviews and retrospectives. You will also be responsible for planning the technical roadmap prioritizing features and ensuring that delivery is on track to meet business objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in driving innovation and maintaining a seamless communication experience for our customers. Position Responsibilities:
Lead the Document Management platform team to deliver seamless and efficient services for our customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize requirements ensuring alignment with business goals.
Monitors and generates reports on product KPIs and Utilize data and customer feedback to continuously improve the document management experience
Manage the technology product backlog define user stories and set sprint goals and act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team ensuring clear communication and understanding of product vision and goals.
Monitor and report on product performance making data-driven decisions to enhance customer experience monitor system performance identify optimization opportunities and ensure seamless operation.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for business and technical processes and lead the development and execution of a long-term platform strategy aligned with technology architectural and business goals and brings an innovative mindset to improving and elevating technology solutions and enablers
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Information Systems or a related field (or equivalent experience) with 5 years of experience in a project management technical product owner platform owner engineer or similar role
Strong understanding of life insurance industry workflows and processes particularly relevant to the products being used
Excellent communication collaboration negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate business needs into effective solutions
Experience with program and agile delivery methodologies and proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with project tracking software (e.g Jira)
Experience with Agile methodologies
Experience with Azure AKS on Azure
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure)
Experience with DevOps principles and tools
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
