Principal Engineer Electrical

The Opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team reporting directly to the Electrical Project Manager. This role is responsible to deliver optimal project outcomes of design safety in design constructability performance cost conscience and commissioning reliability of Electrical Communications & Mechanical infrastructure projects (time cost quality safety) at Downer Energy & Utilities.

What we are looking for

• Electrical Tertiary qualification (Bachelor Level minimum)
• RPEQ qualification
• Tertiary qualification in Project Management
• Leadership qualifications (Frontline Management or the like)
• Minimum 10 years of complex design experience within the Construction sector. (Water highly Desirable)
• Demonstrated experience in:
  • Management of safety quality and environmental issues
  • Management of HR and IR issues
  • Delivery Partner management
  • Financial management and reporting including budgeting and forecasting
  • Production & Productivity reporting
• Proven team management and leadership experience
