Job Summary

Are you passionate about safety and ready to make a real impact in the construction materials industry Regional Group Australia is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team supporting quarry concrete and transport operations across regional NSW.

We play a crucial role in supporting major infrastructure and development projects by providing a full-service solution that encompasses quarry products crushing and screening concrete products and transport operations.
The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager this hands-on field-focused role involves partnering with site teams to foster a proactive safety culture across multiple locations. Youll be out in the field conducting audits assessments and investigations ensuring our people contractors and communities are safe every day.

Youll champion WHS best practice support compliance across quarrying and concrete operations and lead initiatives that keep safety at the core of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections risk assessments and incident investigations ensuring timely corrective actions
  • Support compliance with NSW WHS and Mines WHS legislation
  • Maintain and improve safety management systems documentation and training programs
  • Mentor and support site and quarry managers on safe work practices
  • Prepare reports safety metrics and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Coordinate WorkCover claims and injury management when required

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in quarrying mining concrete or transport industries
  • In-depth knowledge of NSW WHS and Mines WHS legislation
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple sites
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and WHS systems
  • Current NSW drivers licence and willingness to travel regularly
