Job Summary
As a Production Control Material Handler you will manage material flow in our manufacturing floor and engineering cleanrooms. Collaborate with production control coordinators planners and schedulers to prioritize tasks oversee materials requiring external processing and support in logistics coordination. Additionally the role involves reporting on work in process rework/repair orders and addressing production issues.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the manufacturing department and cleanrooms according to production requests.
- Manage material that requires outside processing and coordinate with department leads to determine progress of work and completion dates.
- Create and manage ship requests for materials requiring outside processing including packing labeling and securing products.
- Audit kits for accuracy and completeness before delivering to requestors.
- Provide regular status updates to the planning department regarding any material shortages on the production floor.
- Report on work in process status rework/repair orders and production problems.
- Perform inventory cycle counts data entry corrections and uploads into the inventory system.
- Support in data cleanup initiatives within the inventory system to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Support in the movement of materials to production areas storage areas shipping docks or staging areas manually or with equipment (forklift pallet jack etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required in addition to at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of materials management and handling procedures.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Associates degree or equivalent practical experience in Business Supply Chain or a closely related field.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other related inventory equipment.
- Experience with serialized/lot-controlled inventory production control and planning.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite specifically Outlook Excel and Word is essential.
- Experience handling high-tech electronic products and materials sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- A solid understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) planning principles and related reporting tools.
- Experience working with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is necessary.
- The ability to interact effectively with internal customers from various departments is necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional disciplines with a self-starter attitude and the ability to drive positive outcomes in ill-defined problems or processes
Additional Information:
- Flexibility to work various shifts including overtime and weekends as needed to meet critical deadlines
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted and perform physical activities including lifting standing climbing bending and walking for up to 75% of the shift time
Compensation bands are determined by role level location and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills education experience technical capabilities and internal addition to base salary for full-time hires you may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of stock options and access to medical vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
