Responsibilities include working with Dr. Mary Shenk on projects involving the study of marriage fertility mortality parental investment and inequality both in South Asia and cross-culturally. Applicants should have the following
The ability to conduct complex literature reviews including finding and organizing theoretical historical and ethnographic reference materials.
Experience in coding cross-cultural datasets including primary ethnographic materials.
Experience in coding qualitative interview data. Familiarity with evolutionary theoretical approaches and/or foundational texts in anthropology and related fields would be useful.
Candidates must have completed a PhD by the time of appointment.
