Custodian - Conyers GA

Compensation: $15.30 to $21.00 an hour - paid weekly (Based on Expereince)

Shift Available: Days Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30PM

Position Overview:

This role is responsible for maintaining a clean safe and organized manufacturing facility. This role supportsoperations by ensuring production areas restrooms common spaces and work zones meet cleanliness andsafety standards. The ideal candidate is reliable attentive to detail and comfortable working in a fast-pacedindustrial environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting sweeping mopping and vacuuming.
• Empty clean and replenish waste containers.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms ensuring supplies like toilet paper and soap are adequately stocked.
• Identify and report the need for major repairs to supervisors or management.
• Clean machine equipment as needed throughout the facility.
• Move equipment furniture and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Keep exterior spaces such as parking lots smoking area and sidewalks clean and tidy.
• Follow health and safety regulations ensuring the use of appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Respond promptly to spills using appropriate PPE.
• Support 6S/Lean workplace organization (Sort Set in Order Shine etc.).

Education and/or Experience Requirements (Qualifications)

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Prior custodial or industrial cleaning experience
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently

Preferred:

• Manufacturing or warehouse cleaning experience
• Familiarity with 6S/Lean
• Forklift certification

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Physical Demands:

• Stand or walk for extended periods (up to 812 hours)
• Frequent bending kneeling reaching pushing pulling
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Use of ladders or step stools
• Operate cleaning equipment
• Wear required PPE

Work Environment:

• Exposure to moving equipment and machinery
• Variable temperatures (hot cold humid)
• Exposure to dust odors cleaning agents and industrial noise
• Work around active production lines
• May require overtime weekends or shift work
