Primary Responsibilities
Position Summary The CBBS Student Worker will assist with archaeological research projects conducted by the Center for Big Bend Studies. This position provides hands-on experience in archaeological documentation artifact processing and general project support. The student worker will work closely with CBBS researchers and staff to support ongoing field lab and research activities as needed. Primary Responsibilities Assist with documenting labeling and cataloging archaeological artifacts. Enter and organize data related to archaeological projects. Assist with basic artifact processing (e.g. cleaning sorting organizing materials). Support project researchers with project-related tasks as deemed appropriate. Assist with preparation of materials for analysis storage or transport. Help maintain organized workspaces and proper handling of research materials. Perform other related duties in support of CBBS projects as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry light to moderate materials (as needed) Manual dexterity for handling small artifacts and materials Position is Security Sensitive.
