Position

Polen Capital is seeking a Trader based out of our London office to work in close partnership with other Polen traders globally to execute portfolio manager decisions across all portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Execute EMEA and APAC equity trades for multiple investment strategies
• Use various trading strategies including algorithmic execution ATSs/MTFs and high touch block execution to aid in obtaining best execution
• Act as additional back up for HK and US based equity traders.
• Assist in trading of European and Global High Yield strategies
• Participate in the Transaction Cost Analysis process by using data to deliver insights to internal teams to facilitate best execution and lower transaction costs where applicable.
• Recommend and support implementation and documentation of process changes in the trading area to increase efficiency and minimize general risk & trading errors
• Provide investment teams with up-to-date relevant market product and related general process-oriented information
• Maintain trading records including those documenting general trade activity trading rotations process exceptions resolution of errors etc
• Establish and grow relationships with sell-side brokers to facilitate best execution practices
• Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of internal teams and external vendors on data related responsibilities
• Collaborate with Operations on daily cash flows trade operations and settlements
• Work directly with in region Polen teams on behalf of the trading department
• Serve as the primary Trading point of contact for MiFID transaction reporting via AQMetrics including exception monitoring and resolution

Qualifications

• 3 to 10 years trading global equities; with strong working knowledge of the global equity markets
• Emerging Markets experience preferred Global High Yield bond experience a plus
• Demonstrated knowledge of global market structure electronic trading and trading securities across market capitalizations and liquidity profiles
• Experience using trade order and portfolio management & administration systems including Charles River Octus/SkyRoad and Allvue
• Advanced abilities with Excel SharePoint and standard market data platforms like Bloomberg and Market Axess
