How youll make an impact

As a Senior Developer Data Engineering youll help deliver product stories that support FCCs priorities with a strong focus on building and enhancing the data infrastructure that underpins our modern data ecosystem. Youll work within a collaborative engineering team that enables FCCs data community through technology ensuring data is accessible reliable and ready for use across the organization.

Youll partner with other technical teams and business units to develop scalable solutions and support the flow of data between systems. If youre a critical thinker with natural curiosity strong analytical skills and a passion for clean smart code youll thrive in this role and make a meaningful impact on FCCs data capabilities.

What youll do

Participate in a solutions implementation
Analyze and develop new code including automation integration and unit tests
Implement code fixes and support user testing
Actively contribute to code reviews providing constructive feedback to team members
Ensure technical solutions and system integrations are developed and maintained in the most efficient and effective manner
Participate in design sessions

What youll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

A bachelors degree in computer science or software engineering
Minimum three years of experience in software engineering practices (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience with data engineering tools platforms and approaches
Experience building infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation)

Preferred qualifications:

Functional programming experience
Experience with data modelling data engineering and/or data warehouse building
Experience designing and building data environments to support reporting and analytics including data integrations and flow between disparate data systems
Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies and concepts: Data Lakes Spark Glue RedShift SageMaker QuickSight DMS IAM
Experience with Informatica or any ETL tool
Experience with Data Vault 2.0
