Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical point of contact for the team: facilitate discussions unblock engineers provide architectural guidance and uphold best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews pairing and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with product and design to refine scope estimate work and align on timelines and priorities.
- Contribute hands-on across mobile platforms by implementing features fixing bugs and improving performance.
Must-have Skills
- 8 years of iOS native mobile development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Familiarity with data structures system design and design patterns.
- Proficiency in API design MVVM declarative UI Git and DevOps.
Nice-to-have:
- AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work including drafting analysis research or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Passion for news and creativity in introducing new ideas and technologies.
- Full-stack background is a plus with familiarity in cloud services GraphQL Firebase etc.
- A background in journalism is advantageous.
