Job Summary
Overview
The Salvation Armys Cambridge Corps. is hiring a Custodian and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 402 Massachusetts Ave. Cambridge MA
Hours/week: 25 hours per week (Monday Friday 8:00am 1:00pm)
Exemption: Non-exempt
Pay Range: $15.30 - $21.42 per hour
*starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*
The Custodian will clean and maintain all aspects of the Cambridge Corps.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide routine cleaning duties such as sweeping mopping vacuuming and dusting of all interior and exterior building surfaces and furnishings.
- Regular cleaning and sanitation of areas including restrooms and kitchen.
- Provide furniture and equipment set-ups and take-downs in support of various programs and building uses.
- Regular removal of trash and recyclables.
- Regular cleaning and sweeping of exterior areas including sidewalks and paved areas
- Order and maintain appropriate inventories of cleaning products supplies and products such as paper towels toilet paper and soaps through the facility.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings as requested
- Maintain the grounds including mowing trimming weeding pruning and irrigation repair and snow removal.
- Provide hi-level cleaning of public areas such as lobbies and entry areas.
- Provide minor and routine maintenance and repairs to building systems and grounds and keep records of this repairs
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of the facilities and grounds including doors windows flooring walls ceiling and furnishings.
- Ensure all equipment is inspected on a weekly basis; report needs for the timely repair of all equipment.
- Ensure an adequate reserve of maintenance supplies; conduct regular inventory of all equipment and supplies.
- Evaluate assign and supervisor community service volunteers
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Work Experience:
Minimum 1 year of related experience
Other Qualifications:
- Must be able to pay attention to detail
- Must be able to manage schedule and work independently to complete all tasks
