Were searching for a motivated and driven Laboratory Intern to support our team for a 3-month temporary assignment in Houston TX.


In this role youll support daily laboratory operations through sample preparation analytical testing and accurate data entry in accordance with approved methods SOPs and quality standards. Youll receive training on laboratory instrumentation including routine calibration and basic troubleshooting while documenting and reviewing results in LIMS. Youll follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) support quality and compliance initiatives and maintain a safe organized laboratory environment through adherence to safety protocols inventory management and general housekeeping. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with little to no laboratory experience who are eager to learn and gain hands-on exposure in an Oil & Gas testing environment.



What Youll Do

  • Perform sample preparation analytical testing and data entry in accordance with approved methods SOPs and quality standards
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments including routine calibration basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance following training
  • Document and review results within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Support the laboratorys quality safety and compliance systems by following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) adhering to established protocols and participating in audits corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and assist with laboratory housekeeping standards and inventory management as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

What Were Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; candidates must be actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Chemistry Biology Industrial Technology or a related scientific field
  • Prior internship academic laboratory research or hands-on professional lab experience is preferred but not required
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook) and general computer applications

  • Strong attention to detail and consistent adherence to SOPs and quality standards
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing workloads
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to stay focused throughout duration of shift
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp new laboratory techniques systems and processes
  • Critical thinking skills to identify discrepancies and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Work Schedule & Travel

  • Temporary 3-month on-site position following a MondayFriday schedule with hours varying between 1 PM - 9 PM CST
  • Weekend on-call availability required for call-in coverage due to staff absences
