Were searching for a motivated and enthusiastic Laboratory Intern to join our energy laboratory team in Houston TX.
In this role youll gain hands-on experience supporting departmental operations through project assistance administrative support and operational tasks. This internship opportunity provides meaningful exposure to professional workflows while contributing to operational efficiency quality standards and client satisfaction.
Please note: This is a temporary 3 month onsite internship following a MondayFriday schedule from 1 PM to 9 PM CST with on-call weekend shift coverage as required.
What Youll Do
- Assist with the preparation organization and tracking of materials equipment documentation and related resources
- Support routine operational administrative and project-related activities including data entry research coordination and basic analysis
- Maintain accurate and timely records using applicable systems and software
- Ensure proper handling storage and documentation of materials and information in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance as assigned
- Clean and maintain glassware equipment work areas and sample coolers to support daily operations and ensure a safe organized workspace
- Communicate professionally and effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What Were Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; must be pursuing a degree in Chemistry Biology Industrial Technology or related field
- Prior internship academic research laboratory or practical experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word) and general computer applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
