DescriptionA Casino Surveillance Operator is responsible for monitoring all gaming areas back-of-house operations and public spaces to ensure the safety security and integrity of casino operations. This role plays a critical part in detecting suspicious activity preventing theft or fraud and ensuring compliance with gaming regulations and internal policies.
Responsibilities- Monitor live and recorded video feeds from the casinos surveillance system including gaming tables slot machines cash-handling areas and entrances.
- Identify and report suspicious behavior cheating attempts policy violations or safety hazards.
- Conduct detailed reviews of recorded footage for investigations or regulatory inquiries.
- Communicate findings clearly to surveillance supervisors security teams and casino management.
- Maintain accurate logs incident reports and documentation of all surveillance activities.
- Assist in investigations involving guests or employees including theft fraud or procedural violations.
- Ensure all surveillance equipment is functioning properly and report technical issues promptly.
- Stay current on gaming regulations cheating methods and casino procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and always uphold the integrity of the surveillance department.
Qualifications- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Ability to remain focused during lengthy periods of monitoring
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to analyze behavior and detect irregularities
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and digital surveillance software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-stakes environment
- Integrity discretion and professionalism
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in surveillance security law enforcement or casino operations preferred
- Knowledge of gaming regulations (state-specific) is a plus
- Technical aptitude with video monitoring systems
