Family Practice Physician (MD/DO)
Position Overview
Commonwealth Medical Services is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive care in our growing practice in Washington. This role involves treating patients of all ages promoting preventive health measures and managing chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care for patients including health maintenance illness prevention and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct thorough patient examinations and develop treatment plans based on evidence and best practices
- Perform routine office procedures as needed including immunizations and minor outpatient procedures
- Coordinate care with specialists and refer patients as required
- Educate patients about preventative care health management and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Participate in community outreach and wellness programs
- Engage in continuing education opportunities to remain current in the field of Family Medicine
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a Family Medicine residency program
- Board eligible or certified in Family Medicine
- Valid state medical license in Washington
- DEA certification

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and their families
- Competency in managing chronic diseases and acute medical conditions
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Work Environment
- Outpatient clinic setting with potential for community engagement
- Standard office hours with no hospital rounding required
Requirements
MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine. Valid Washington state medical license and DEA registration. Strong clinical and communication skills are essential for this role.
