About the Role
Were seeking a Quality Assurance Manager who thrives in a small-town closeknit environment and is motivated to lead quality excellence at a highimpact metals and raw materials operation. Jamestown ND is a very remote area and this role is ideal for someone who values focus autonomy and a strong sense of community.
Youll lead our Quality Management System (QMS) ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and champion continuous improvement across the plant. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence quality culture develop people and strengthen customer satisfaction.
This position is a working manager role at a smaller site of 9 people. It requires hands-on involvement such as inspecting parts supporting final inspections as needed and visiting customer site to discuss and resolve quality issues. Employee must be US person/Green Card Holder - this is an ITAR Restricted.
What Youll Do
Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with AS9100 and internal standards.
Serve as the voice of the customer by addressing quality issues and driving rootcause analysis.
Mentor and develop Quality Engineers and Quality Assurance Representatives.
Oversee audits inspection planning metrics and performance expectations.
Lead corrective actions reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and manage MRB activities.
Drive initiatives to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) implement corrective actionsand manage Material Review Board (MRB).
Visit to other sites (as needed) for training and coaching.
Support Lean initiatives and operational efficiency improvements.
Partner with Sales Purchasing and Operations to achieve quality objectives.
Lead:
Quality planning
Customer/vendor claim tracking and trend analysis
Statistical process control
Internal/external AS9100 audits
Corrective & Preventative Action (CPAR) system
Training in quality Lean and safety

What Youll Bring
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree
3 years in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
Experience with AS9100 TQM ISO/QS9000 and SPC
ISO Assessor Certification
1 year of management/supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
ASQ Certification
AS9100 Lead Assessor Certification
5 years of Quality Assurance/Control experience
3 years of leadership or teambuilding experience
Training in strategic planning or team motivation
