Salary: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
This is a full-time position.
Duties
Create a warm nurturing classroom for toddlers ages 13
Build strong responsive relationships with children and families
Use trauma-informed and relationship-based strategies to support childrens emotional regulation sense of safety and resilience
Partners with families using empathy active listening and strength-based communication
Collaborate with coworkers in ways that promote trust psychological safety and mutual respect
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Early Head Start standards
Support social-emotional development through play routines and intentional interactions
Observe and document childrens growth to individualize learning using the TS Gold observation tool.
Partner with families and colleagues to support the whole child and whole family
Ability to effectively relate and communicate with people of varying multi-ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
Capable of using good judgment in daily teaching situations and in interactions with staff parents and community volunteers.
Use a computer and related software applications
Job Qualifications
BA in Child Development
Must pass background study
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience in Early Head Start or Head Start
Background in trauma-informed or relationship-based care
Experience working with diverse families and communities
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to sit stand bend and engage in floor-level activities with children
