Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Neighborhood Partnership Manager the Neighborhood Partnerships Capacity Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations and implementation of Feeding San Diego this highly interpersonal role the Neighborhood Partnerships Capacity Assistant Manager will work with faith-based organizations non-profits colleges and donors in establishing and maintaining positive relationships. The Neighborhood Partnerships Capacity Assistant Manager is responsible for the efficient coordination of safe and dignified food distributions from donor to community partner to the public. The Neighborhood Partnerships Capacity Assistant Manager is the RDO Partnerships Coordinator for all regions and an administrative assistant with a major focus on capacity building for the team and our network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Redistribution Organization (RDO) Partnerships Coordinator:

  • Leads the development and management of RDO partnerships across regions and as needed select sponsorship partnerships
  • Collaborates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen agency partnerships support program design and implementation and ensure alignment with evolving policies and standards
  • Builds and sustains strong relationships with local partners and peer food banks fostering collaboration shared learning and consistent program quality
  • Oversee training monitoring and periodic auditing of RDO distribution sites to ensure compliance with food safety requirements program regulations and capacity expectations
  • Supports efficient food rescue and redistribution by coordinating logistics with internal teams and partner agencies addressing operational challenges as they arise and facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to ensure seamless service delivery
  • ensure high-quality compliant and responsive RDO programming across the network       

Administrative and Capacity Support

  • Generate and manage reports across multiple platforms and oversee the team email account
  • Manages reporting across multiple platforms oversee shared communication channels and ensure partner-facing materials and internal documentation remain accurate current and aligned with organizational standards
  • Supports regional partner outreach and data updates develops partner impact reporting and contributes to the planning and execution of partner and stakeholder events
  • Collaborate with senior team members to support advisory council activities meeting planning and partner engagement initiatives and assist with onboarding and other team priorities as needed

Food Rescue Driver Coordinator 15-20%

  • Provides operational support for food rescue and redistribution efforts as needed assisting with donation pick-ups and deliveries in collaboration with Feeding San Diego and community partners when capacity allows
  • Supports accurate documentation and adherence to food safety standards throughout the food rescue process and contributes to seasonal or special food rescue initiatives as opportunities arise

INTERACTION

This position will interact closely with the outside venues and organizations distribution center partner agencies FANO and elected officials. The position also requires frequent interaction with all FSD staff and volunteers of our community.


Qualifications :

EDUCATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and work experience equivalent to the stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration for this position.

  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with members of underrepresented groups
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with competing priorities deadlines and constant multitasking

PREFERRED

  • A minimum of 2 years as an FSD Partnerships Coordinator for any region
  • Previous event coordination or administrative experience

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional written and oral communication
  • Ability to be at the office multiple days a week and drive sprinter vans
  • Demonstrates good judgment and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly resolve conflict using tact sensitivity and discretion
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Professional demeanor with an aptitude for analytical thinking and problem-solving
  • Responsible well-organized and demonstrated initiative
  • Excellent customer service skills both in-person virtually and on the telephone
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; follow through on tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Smartsheets Microsoft Office Word Canva Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of nonprofit organizational practices
  • Passion for and commitment to Feeding San Diegos mission to alleviate hunger and food insecurity

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Standard office equipment and machines such as telephone personal computer or work laptop and multi-function copy machine. Personal smartphone required.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California drivers license a satisfactory driving record including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the Agencys insurance carrier standards.

Required use of sprinter vans. Training provided. Required TWIC card.

PHYSICAL MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee will be asked to successfully perform to fulfill the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly expected to:

  • Perform work in an office and warehouse space housing warehouse operations which may occasionally create an exposure to dust and pollens
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time as well as frequently transport objects between floors. May transport objects weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Pull and push such objects as file drawers and supplies
  • Prioritize and multi-task work and projects requiring good memory concentration and analytical thinking
  • Occasionally it is required to perform the safe operation office equipment and machines and recognize and abate safety hazards within the workplace
  • Must be able to hear see including peripheral vision and distinction of colors read and communicate verbally and in writing frequently with a wide range of people from divergent socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and origins
  • The noise level in the work environment varies and can be considered moderate.

PAY & HOURS

$27 - $29 per hour
