Vision Test Automation Engineer

As a Vision Test Automation Engineer you focus on validating and safeguarding computer vision functionalities within our robotic systems. You design and implement automatic system-level regression tests using vision KPIs to reliably verify object detection and tracking in realistic real-world scenarios.

You work closely with multidisciplinary Scrum teams within Product Development including software engineers computer vision specialists test engineers data scientists and electronics engineers. Together you ensure that vision pipelines and AI models perform consistently robustly and safely in production environments. We value diverse perspectives and encourage you to share ideas ask questions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing automated system-level regression tests based on vision KPIs for object detection and tracking.
• Validating computer vision pipelines that use deep learning and AI models in real-life robotic environments.
• Contributing to the training verification and performance evaluation of AI models used for vision applications.
• Analyzing test results and vision metrics and translating them into clear feedback and improvement proposals for development teams.
• Integrating and maintaining vision-based tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Actively contributing to the validation of new vision- and AI-driven features within Lely products.

What is your experience

You are motivated to contribute to reliable high-quality systems and enjoy working at the intersection of test automation computer vision and AI. • Bachelors or Masters level of thinking and working preferably in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Robotics or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience as a test automation engineer software engineer or in a role with a focus on AI and/or computer vision.
• Experience with or demonstrable knowledge of computer vision pipelines including deep learning models for object detection and tracking.
• Affinity with training validating and verifying AI models and working with vision KPIs at system level.
• Programming experience in Python; knowledge of C is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as PyTorch and/or CUDA as well as Linux Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• You enjoy working in multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum teams and are open to feedback learning and asking questions.
