Your New Role and Responsibilities
As atalented member of our software engineering team you will provide innovative and high-value solutions to a variety of complex technical challenges for our customer to build a large-scale information integration system.
Involved in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)that includes planning design development and testing you will be frequently applying a broad range of tools and latest technologies and exploring creative ways and new approaches to implementing software solutions.
You will be an established software engineer with extensive experience in Java JavaScript application frameworks API services development secure development practices and enterprise integration patterns and products.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and contribute to software prototyping design development and engineering approach selection
Collaborate with Systems Engineers to analyze define and implement requirements
Perform software development activities including coding unit testing integration and system testing
Customize and integrate tools and support system release and deployment
Ensure software quality by adhering to defined engineering processes and best practices
Mentor junior engineers and participate in research development and continuous improvement initiatives
What Youll Bring to Make An Impact
Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field (or equivalent experience and training)
Proactive business-aware professional able to identify issues build relationships and drive objectives
Experience in a senior role within an engineering or project environment
Experience developing or supporting geospatial systems
Strong knowledge of Agile/Kanban methodologies and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD Docker Kubernetes)
Experience integrating and customizing systems using open-source technologies REST/SOAP/messaging and tools such as JIRA and Confluence

This role does requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold an active TSPV Clearance accompanied by the ability to be successful for a DISA/OSA.
