Job Summary:
The position serves as an important part of the Technician team who specializes in backflow services and is responsible for inspecting maintaining testing repairing and replacing domestic irrigation and fire backflow assemblies. The role performs onsite emergency troubleshooting and repairs and identifies code and non-compliance issues. The position requires reliability thoroughness and strong attention to detail along with self-motivation and confidence. Since this role interfaces with FSF customers and helps to drive customer satisfaction the Technician must display a friendly customer-oriented temperament. Our technicians are expected to reflect the companys goal to serve our customers with outstanding professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures customers are serviced to the highest level of satisfaction through quality service and met expectations prior to leaving the jobsite
- Conducts backflow inspections for existing sites renovations and new construction
- Performs troubleshooting service and repairs for backflow prevention
- Identifies code violations and other non-compliant issues and recommends repairs or preventive solutions
- Identifies risks or potential trouble related to work and develops methods to mitigate
- Completes and produces inspection reports that are legible accurate and detailed; accurately completes work orders and other necessary documents
- Interacts professionally with customers building engineers property managers and acts as an efficient team member within the department
- Uses a company provided service vehicle for work (if applicable) and keeps it well maintained and supplied with all parts tools and equipment; keeps the vehicle clean and organized with a complete inventory of tools and supplies
- Initiates and completes work independently and interacts collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills to receive and convey information clearly and effectively at all levels of FSFs organization
- Helps to identify continuous improvement in processes and offers solutions to promote efficiency
- Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices specifically CAL OSHA and safety measures related to work
- Performs other duties as assigned
Experience/Training/Education:
- High School Diploma
- AWWA or another equivalent certification
- 2 years experience in this respective field
- Safety Training specific to the role
- Certification and licenses as applicable to the position
Job Type:
- Full-time on-site Monday - Friday
