Job Summary
STV is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This position is designated as hybrid (3 days week in office) and can be located in one of the following offices: Atlanta GA Douglassville PA Philadelphia PA or Charlotte NC. Note that there will be period travel needed to our Douglassville office as needed.
Job responsibilities include:
- Support the companys income tax process including the preparation of financial information for external service providers
- Prepare and/or review federal and multistate income and franchise tax returns
- Coordinate timely tax payments to various income tax authorities.
- Maintain review and reconcile tax accounts and proactively resolve discrepancies
- Prepare various indirect tax returns such as sales and use personal property business licenses and other tax filings
- Conduct technical research to address tax issues
- Support company tax audits respond to tax notices and facilitate timely resolution of other tax matters under the guidance of the Manager
- Serve as a resource for tax department management assisting with day-to-day issues and inquiries arising from all company areas
- Completes other special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field supported by a minimum of 6 years work experience as a corporate accountant or 3 years work experience in public accounting
- Active CPA license in your work state required
- Strong organizational & communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet highly detailed reporting requirements
- Effective prioritization and multitasking skills especially under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite of products
Compensation Range:
