Griffith Healths School of Applied Psychology and Griffith Health Clinics are seeking an experienced and dynamic Psychology Clinic Director to lead and oversee the operations of our Psychology Clinics. This key leadership position plays a vital role in ensuring that the clinics provide high-quality learning experiences for psychology and counselling students while meeting professional accreditation requirements.
The Psychology Clinic Director will co-develop and implement the strategic vision for the clinics provide clinical supervision for students contribute to teaching research and engagement initiatives and help strengthen the reputation of Griffith Health Clinics. This position is part of both the School and Clinics leadership teams and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of clinical education at Griffith University.
Key responsibilities in the role will include but not be limited to:
- Lead the strategic direction and operational management of the Psychology Clinics ensuring alignment with the learning needs of students and accreditation requirements.
- Provide high-level advice to the Head of School and School Executive on innovative and effective clinic operations.
- Manage financial operations including budget oversight and resource utilisation.
- Develop and deliver clinic business plans that support education research and engagement strategies.
- Oversee and support student and intern supervision ensuring quality clinical training experiences.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and external stakeholder engagement to enhance student learning and patient care.
- Maintain registration as a psychologist and endorsed supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
This is a fixed-term full-time appointment for three years and can be based at either the Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast campus. Regular travel between the two locations will be required.
As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith Universitys campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

- A postgraduate qualification in Psychology.
- Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Approved and Endorsed Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Proven leadership and management experience in a clinical or educational setting.
- Strong strategic planning financial management and operational oversight skills.
- Commitment to high-quality teaching clinical supervision and student learning.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to advance clinic operations and educational objectives.
