Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Conversions within the Public Housing Tenancy Operations department (PHTO) the Conversion Liaison will assist with managing PHTO activities for assigned developments where tenants will be converting from Public Housing to Project-Based Section 8 as part of Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) or Preservation Trust (Trust) programs.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Conversions the responsibilities of the Conversion liaison will include but are not limited to the following:
1. Assist PACT/Trust developments in reducing open and pending annual and interim recertifications in the Siebel System.
2. Conduct various levels of resident outreach to ensure the submission of appropriate PACT/Trust related documentation.
3. Prepare evaluation reports analyze documents and track progress concerning the resolution of tenancy related issues.
4. Handle confidential information according to HUD and NYCHA standards.
5. Pack files according to the Records management schedule
6. Help train development staff on reporting dashboards conversion processes and related matters.
7. Communicate with and respond to inquiries; conduct research and analyze tenancy issues; provide support to various departments.
8. Communicate with and respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders
9. Update and maintain conversion checklists and reporting.
10. Represent department at conversion meetings.

HOUSING ASSISTANT (HA) - 80201
Qualifications :
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college; or
An associate degree or sixty semester credits from an accredited college and one year of satisfactory full-time experience in housing management at a development or developments containing at least 150 apartments performing any one or a combination of the following duties: interviewing applicants; determining eligibility; gathering and evaluating information to resolve complaints; collecting rents; and/or resolving tenant-related problems; or
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and three years of satisfactory full-time experience as described in 1 above; or
A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience as described in 1 or 2 above. Undergraduate college credit may be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for one year of satisfactory full-time experience. However all candidates must have a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent.
